Mandapam Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mandapam Association Platform (“Mandapam”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses information when people visit mandapassociation.com, apply for membership, use the Admin or Member Portal, operate a member website, register for events, submit enquiries, or connect a professional Instagram account.
Information we collect
Depending on the service used, we may process a member or administrator’s name, business name and category, association, city and address, telephone and WhatsApp numbers, email address, profile and business images, membership information, website content, event registrations, enquiries, login and security records, and technical information such as IP address, browser and timestamps.
How we use information
We use this information to review membership applications, maintain the member directory, provide member and administrator accounts, publish and operate member websites, process event registrations, respond to enquiries, protect the platform, diagnose failures, maintain audit records and provide features chosen by the user.
Public member information
Approved business information, member website content and media selected for publication may be visible publicly. Restricted contact or directory information is shown only according to the platform’s access controls. Members should publish only content they are authorized to share.
Instagram integration
Connecting Instagram is optional and requires the user’s explicit authorization through Meta. When connected, Mandapam may receive the professional Instagram account identifier, username, account type, profile picture, access token and media information such as captions, media URLs, thumbnails, permalinks and publication dates. We use this information only to synchronize and display the authorized Instagram feed and to report synchronization status.
Instagram access tokens are encrypted at rest and are not included in public pages. Mandapam does not receive or store the user’s Instagram password. A user may disconnect or change the account from the relevant Mandapam portal.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting, security, communications, payment or platform providers only where needed to operate Mandapam. Instagram data is also governed by Meta’s applicable terms and the choices made by the Instagram account holder.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet association or legal requirements, resolve disputes and protect the platform. We use access controls, authenticated administration, encryption for Instagram tokens, short-lived OAuth state values and operational logging. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may request access, correction or deletion of information associated with your Mandapam account, subject to applicable obligations. You may disconnect Instagram at any time. Children
Mandapam is intended for business and association users and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the platform or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest published version.
